Fiona Grady was born in Leeds in 1984 and studied at Leeds College of Art & Design between 2003 and 2004 and then at Cardiff School of Art & Design, University of Wales Institute Cardiff from 2004 to 2007.
She recently exhibited in Contemporary Printmakers, The Old Library, Cardiff.
and will show work in a forthcoming group exhibition at the Millennium Centre, Cardiff in September 2007.
Grady’s watercolour paintings are part of a year long series of red squares which involve her in grinding, by hand, her own paint in order to control subtle changes of tone. The masking tape that she uses to create the sharp lines of the squares is then reused to make a further image.
