Callum Cuthbert was born in Leeds in 1985 and studied at Leeds College of Art & Design between 2003 and 2004 and then at Chelsea School of Art & Design from 2004 to 2007.
He recently showed in Exhibition Twelve, London.
He is currently converting a warehouse in Manor House, London into studio and exhibition space.
Cuthbert is interested in the stuff of paint and its relationship to alchemy. His large scale layered paintings on paper, part of a series developed over a two year period, appear to be immense pages as though a huge picture book has just been taken apart.
